The Play Date Cafe guest designer!

Hello! I am so excited that the wonderful ladies over at The Play Date Cafe asked me to guest design again! I just love their challenge blog! Lawn Fawn is sponsoring and we are giving away one of the sets from the new upcoming release! Woooo! (We start sneaks on the 6th!)

Check out this fab color challenge:
Beautiful inspiration, right?

I used Petite Florals to create these flowers from American Crafts Abode paper. I stamped in a darker red on the patterned paper, cut them out and rolled the edges in to give them dimension. I layered them over each other and glue dotted them to this awesome acetate patterned paper by Hambly. I had a blast putting the hearts sideways. I just thought it made such a cool pattern!

I adhered the white Spellbinders Labels 9 piece to the inside and the bird with pop dots to the outside. I covered this awesome bird by GCD / Melody Ross with American Crafts Dear Lizzy paper. I love the juxtaposition of Dear Lizzy and Abode! Another of my "my bows stink" tricks: tie the bow with twine at the end of the ribbon. That kind of bow is much easier! Hehe! :)

So please come and play along at PDCC for a chance to win a new Lawn Fawn set!

Also, some other exciting news! Lawn Fawn can now be found in Paper Tales in San Diego. I absolutely love this store, and we are so honored to be in it! If you are in the area, go check it out!

Everything but the Kitchen Sink Challenge #18

Hello and welcome to the next Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge! This time our challenge is the "around the house" challenge and the wonderful Ann is our hostess! Our item is ...
Aluminum foil!! Now I know you guys all have this at home and it is actually super fun to work with! I can't wait to see what you make! Cover chipboard, make impressions, punch out shapes! Wooo! Fun!! :)

I decided to use my GCD/Melody Ross chipboard tool on the foil. I made the world's thickest foil piece by folding it over on itself and then hammered in the chipboard "stamp". I think it looks so cool. It really looks like an expensive embellishment in person. I framed it with this chipboard frame and after that just made a really simple card!

Our sponsor this week is ...
W Plus 9! Woo! They are offering a stamp set of your choice to the winner! So get on over and play along with us! We can't wait to see your creations!
Card stock: Neenah

2 sketches 4 you 55: Thank you so very much

Hello! I hope you guys all had amazing weekends! I am here with this week's 2 Sketches 4 You challenge! Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Mint Motif. Here is the fabulous sketch by the lovely Laura:Isn't this a great go to sketch?

I stamped the squares from the set, cut them out and rounded the outside corner. Then I used antique linen Distress Ink on them to get them to match these wonderful Sassafras borders and stickers from Torendi's latest kit, "Paris in Bloom". I love that Sassafras has those little borders on the bottom of their papers!
The Cosmo Cricket chipboard is also from Torendi's kit and I decided to see if I could Distress Ink that too, and it totally works! I am so excited about changing up some of my chipboard and also wondering why I didn't think of this before. Am I the last person to try this? Hehe!

The sentiment is from the coordinating Very Square Mint Motif set, and I just cut the square to mimic the size of the square stamps.

Make sure to head on over to the 2s4y blog to play along and see the other DT cards! We can't wait to see your creations!

All of our stamps are back in stock! YAY! I can't tell you how excited I was when the big box arrived at my door last night! Make sure you check it out! http://www.lawnfawn.com/
Here is just a simple little Critters in the Sea card. I stamped and clear heat embossed the wave pattern and then colored with Copics imperfectly over the card stock to give it a "water" look. I paper pieced the dolphin with some Webster's Pages paper. I like the idea of more formal paper with a cute stamp! The twine is from Studio Calico, and I am in love with this twine. It's so delicate and fun!

I wanted to list here some awesome Lawn Fawn sitings I have seen around the web! Be prepared to be inspired! I have so many more saved up to show you guys too! :)

Partly Snowing

Hello! Here's another little Christmas card that I have made. I wanted to make a Partly Cloudy snowing card, so I used some asterisks from a Making Memories alpha set to make the snow. I heat embossed the Partly Cloudy cloud with white embossing powder, so I used StazOn to stamp the smiley so that it wouldn't smear!

I am going to post the winner of the Pixiepetals giveaway and the resubscribe giveaway tomorrow because I am still not feeling well. If I start feeling better, maybe I will do it later today, so keep a look out!

Card stock: Neenah Paper (solar white), Papertrey Ink (spring rain)
Stamps: Lawn Fawn (partly cloudy), Making Memories (mixed alpha)
Ink: ColorBox pigment (frost white), Versamark, StazOn (black)
Etc: White Embossing powder (Whispers seafoam white)

Paper Crafts July/August 2010

Hello! I have been working on submissions all day, so I thought I would share a card from the current issue of Paper Crafts! I hope this card makes you smile! Also, I didn't have a purple brad when I made this, so I just colored a white one with a Copic. Yay for customizable brads! :)

Make sure you check out the current issue. It's so fun and bright and happy!

You can also see one of my cards on the Paper Crafts blog. I made a plaid with ribbon! Fun! And another is in their online gallery. Yay for robots!

Okay, I am so out of it because I am still sick so there is a good chance that this post makes no sense! Fevers make me wacky!

Hugs to you all!

Don't you want to sing Queen now?

Hello! "Biiicycle. Biiiicycle. Biiiicycle. I want to ride my biiiicycle!" Yes, I have been singing that Queen song for a while now. Hehe! :) I used my Torendi Paris in bloom kit to create this card. I cut those flowers out of some of the awesome Sassafras paper. The bicycle came from the same paper too!

This card is for a few challenges! The Moxie Fab "I want to ride my bicycle" challenge, the 2Peas Year in Cards "hello" card challenge, and the Get Sketchy challenge:

I know I totally messed up the sketch, but it did inspired me! The collage is my bicycle flower collage and the squiggly line is my pennant.
I am in love with these Sassfras pennant stickers from the kit. SO fun! I added some twine and Material Girl chipboard flowers from the kit to finish it off!

* Torendi deal of the week: OPP Good Luck Tape 50% off!
* EbtKS challenge!
